SOCK MONKEY!!!!

Ok, I am sorry for yelling at you but seriously, SOCK MONKEY! I love them. I don't know why I just do. If I could have nothing but sock monkeys filling my house, I might do it :) This one I made for my sister Maggie (for those of you that don't know me, there are 6 girls in my family so I'm not just calling everyone sister, I really do have all these sisters)

I am jealous that she got this one. I will be making a new one this year and I'm going to keep it!

My Hooking History :)

My grandmother first taught me to knit when I was in highschool. I picked out a hideous orange color, made a small square and packed all my yarn away so I could focus on school. One day, several years later, I sent all my needles and yarn to my sister. And wouldn't you know? I got the fever less then a few weeks later :) This time my mom taught me to knit and I made a long, long scarf. I had no idea how to cast off and we lived miles apart so I again took a brake. It wasn't until one of my friends pointed out that you can learn how to knit on youtube that I finally finished my first scarf (9 months after I started) Soon after I became addicted to youtube tutorials. I have since taught myself how to crochet and I cannot stop. I still enjoy knitting but most of my projects nowdays are crochet. I crochet for my friends and my family and occasionally for hire but it really is just a hobby for me.
I love finding new patterns and writing new patterns and I hope you enjoy reading about what I make.

I live in the middle of nowhere and am very limited on stores. The places near me sell almost exclusively Red Heart yarn so most of my projects are done with Red Heart. I do on occasion get to use fancy yarn and I will share when I do but those times are rare.

Also, those who know me know that I am a photographer by carreer. But when I crochet or knit, I usually just take a photo with my cellphone and send it to the person I'm making that project for. I guess what I'm saying is please forgive me if my photos here aren't as pretty as my other blogs. I don't always take the time to shoot my projects :)

Also, if you notice a mistake in any of the patterns I write, or if I have a link to the wrong pattern, please let me know and I'll update them.
